Escrow.com – Secure Payments for Vehicle Exports

 

At Genie Auto Import, every transaction is protected through Escrow.com to ensure safety and transparency for both buyer and seller.​

1. Agreement – Buyer and seller agree on the vehicle, terms, and final price.

2. Invoice – An official invoice is created and approved by both parties.

3. Escrow Setup – The invoice and agreement are forwarded to Escrow.com.

4. Funding – Buyer funds the escrow account via bank wire (Escrow.com holds the money securely).

5. Delivery – Genie Auto Import delivers the vehicle and proper title paperwork to the Port of Tacoma.

6. Confirmation – Buyer or their freight forwarder confirms receipt of the vehicle and documents.

7. Release – Escrow.com releases payment to Genie Auto Import.

Important Notes:

• Escrow.com fees are based on the transaction amount and are typically the responsibility of the buyer (unless otherwise agreed). Current fee details can always be viewed directly on Escrow.com’s website.

• Payment is made by bank wire transfer only — no PayPal, credit cards, or cash.

• Funds are not released until delivery is confirmed at Tacoma.

• Once the vehicle and paperwork are handed to the buyer’s freight forwarder, the car is considered in the buyer’s possession. Responsibility for shipping, insurance, and transit transfers fully to the buyer and their forwarder.

What “FOB Tacoma” Means

All vehicle prices are listed FOB (Free On Board) Tacoma Port.
This means the price includes delivery of the vehicle to the Tacoma Port and handover to your designated freight forwarder.
Once the vehicle has been delivered and released to your freight company, ownership and responsibility are transferred to you or your agent.

The FOB price does not include ocean shipping, marine insurance, import duties, taxes, or customs clearance in your destination country.
Buyers are responsible for arranging international shipping and handling all import procedures after the vehicle has been handed over at the port.

Disclaimer: Genie Auto Import’s responsibility ends once the vehicle and title are delivered to the buyer’s freight forwarder at Tacoma. All risk and liability transfer to the buyer and their forwarder at that point.​​​​​​​​​​​
